Purpose: The ACS Award for Creative Advances in Environmental Science & Technology is sponsored by ENVR and the ACS Publications journal ES&T and administered by the ACS National Awards Program to encourage creativity in research and technology or methods of analysis to provide a scientific basis for informed environmental control decision-making processes, or to provide practical technologies that will reduce health risk factors. Details of the award, application guidelines and past winners can be found on the ACS website.

Sponsored by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in memory of Joseph J. Breen and the Division of Environmental Chemistry.

Description: The award consists of $5,000 and a certificate. Up to $2,500 for travel expenses to the meeting at which the award will be presented will be reimbursed.  Recipients are invited to present their research at an ENVR symposium in their honor at the next spring ACS national meeting.
